FOR YOUR GOOD 2

The Almighty God is the beginning and the end, he sees the end from the beginning, He knows we will definitely go through what we are going through now and he has given us the power to overcome whatsoever, for we cant be tempted beyond our limits. The scripture says:

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. 1st Corinthians 10:13

The word of God also makes us understand that all things work together for our good,

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.   Romans 8:28

Looking at the scripture above, we could see it says all things work for good not just for anyone, but

1. For those who love him.
2. For those who have been called according to his purpose.

Loving God

The scripture says if you love me, keep my commandments, proving our love to God in our daily activities, not taking any step with our own selfish desire/our own will. The scripture also says:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongsLove does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love being the greatest commandment of all, given by our Lord Jesus Christ  being the foundation of everything we do, has been taken for granted. Our Generation seem to Love with a reason attached to it and once the love is immediately not returned, it leads to grieves in our relationships.Love is indeed patient :)

Also ,loving God isn't just about going to church/showmanship its much more than that.

We shouldn't also not forget to remind ourselves that we are to love with everything in us, according to the scripture

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. mark 12:30

Love is the only way to show God to the world. "When you show love, you are showing God to the world." - Joel Osteen

Purpose driven life
Living a purpose driven life should be our goal here on earth as believers, living for God and his purpose. It is about becoming what God created you to be,not what you want to become, life is about letting God use you for his purpose, not you using him for your own purpose.Being successful and living a life of purpose are not the same, am not saying success isn't good, even our God wants us to prosper, just like the scripture says,
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3rd John 2.
To discover your purpose in life, you must turn to God's word. As you begin to fellowship with him, you will indeed understand what life entails, this world is not our own, we do not belong here, a man of God said a baby spends nine months in the womb and lives on earth for as long as he can till he dies,
That's the same application for eternity, the life we live now is in preparation for eternity, if we always live in the consciousness of this, the we will be more careful with our thoughts, words and our actions.
Its such a pity that in this present generation, there are thousands of people living a purposeless life, they are driven by whatsoever comes there way, Here are a few common ones

1. Materialism: Materialism most times is borne by the desire to better than someone or to be at par with them. People forget everything happens in its own time, they fail to realize our value is not determined by our valuables and most valuable things in life are not seen. A lot of destinies are being destroyed out of covetousness, having a strong desire for what you do not have, especially for something that belongs to someone else. The scripture says

- [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

2. Past: Well, I could say its in the human nature to keep reminiscing about the things of the past. The Word of God says

Therefore if any one is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. -2nd cor  5:17

We are a product of our past, but those who have hurt you in the past cannot continue to hurt you now unless you hold on to the pain through resentment and anger. Your past is past and nothing will change it, you are only hurting yourself with your own bitterness, learn from it and let it go. Your future is still spotless and you can start molding it now.

3. Need for approval: People care a lot about what they are seen as in the society, they allow the expectations of parents, friends, pastors to control their lives leading to some living fake lives, being controlled by the opinion of others is a guaranteed way to miss God's purpose for your life. I always tell my friend, why wont people work on who they really are and be good from the inside, letting it reflect gradually on what people see them as, nowadays, its the other way round. People fail to realize its all a matter of time. Reputations fade, records are broken, achievements are surpassed and tributes are forgotten.

4.Pride: Pride as they say go before a fall, but in most cases I have seen, the fall isn't suddden, it takes a gradual process, and while this happen, too many people fail to realize they are falling already, they get stuck in there certain way of thinking leading to strongholds in the mind. A lot of people allow pride to drive them, thereby they are unable to maximize there potential in life.
